EcoTree x Imbretex: a Virtuous Partnership
International Forest Day is an opportunity for us to highlight our great partnership with EcoTree! We explain what it's all about, what we're doing and how you can get involved!
What is Ecotree?
As Europe's leading provider of Nature-based Solutions, EcoTree develops original offerings that enable everyone (individuals and professionals alike) to become involved in the protection, management and restoration of ecosystems.
Focus on our partnership
Since 2022, IMBRETEX has made a commitment to ECOTREE for the planting and sustainable management of forests.
When validating orders on our website, you can take part in our action: we have set up a 'no delivery note (BL)' option to avoid unnecessary paper consumption. Each time this option is chosen, i.e. for each BL not printed, IMBRETEX donates €0.02 to ECOTREE.
'With this partnership, we are making a gesture by limiting paper and ink consumption and waste production, and new tree species are being planted within French sustainably managed forests.'
Many thanks to our customers who have already taken the plunge and enabled us to convert the amount saved into trees via EcoTree. To date, our 280 Sessile Oak - Red Oak - Cedar and Douglas Fir trees have been planted in the forests of LANGONNET (56) and LAUNAY GUEN (22) and are managed by EcoTree. To see where they flourish, click here!
At the current rate, and thanks to this option, that's around 1.5 pallets of paper not used each year!
And to take things even further, the remaining BLs are now printed on both sides of the paper, and on recycled paper. Of course, because we don't sacrifice service, you can find the complete tracking of your orders and their digital BLs on our website: IMBRETEX.

International forest day
March 21 is an opportunity to celebrate forests, trees and wood, and to raise awareness of the multifunctional role of forests. Forests provide numerous services to the environment, the economy and society, making them an essential resource for sustainable development.
Forests cover around 30% of the world's total land surface, and are a vital ally in the fight against global warming:
- Carbon sinks: 7.6 billion tonnes of CO2 are absorbed each year by the world's forests. They are the world's 2nd largest carbon sink.
- Resilient ecosystem: they regulate global temperatures.
- Wood producers: they provide a renewable material for the ecological transition.
EcoTree's action in a few figures is:
+ 1,700,000 trees planted and/or sustainably managed
+ 500 biodiversity projects: beehives, wetlands, ponds, etc.
+ 5 countries where EcoTree is present
+ 76,000 individuals and over 1,500 companies involved
So, if you too would like to take action for the climate by supporting the creation and preservation of sustainable forests, here's the link: EcoTree!
